It was harmless fun up to the flashback episode (no.4) by which time it made the mistake of taking itself seriously, just as the plotlines and action were sent into an orbit of complete ridiculousness. No one was in any doubt that despite being shot at the end of the penultimate episode (and then strangely not finished off as she lay there) she would turn into some super-avenger within minutes after a spot of DIY bandaging then stitching. And of course that favourite movie prop, the adrenaline injection. Five seconds later, she's taking out one highly trained burly and armed tough after another. Yawn.....
The contrived scene where the scriptwriters invented a male chauvinist to say silly things to her so as to set himself up by having his nose broken by a woman half his size....was, well, shoehorned in to get the cartoon message of identity politics across. From then on, none of it was remotely believable. Who cared?
