Parasite was a good movie. However, it is not a great movie. The praise bandwagon is off the rails proclaiming this the best movie of 2019. Moreover, that bandwagon appears driven by similar forces that pushedThe English Patient to the top of the charts 20 or so years ago. Similarly, Parasite will go down as somewhat forgettable in the not too distant future.
