I love that we have a slow-burn episodic that does some truth telling about the effects of war on the cultures in the empire’s shadow. The focus on the common is exceptional. Bravo to the show runners for daring to give us more than a popcorn-assault on the senses. I’m here for this. It’s why so many loved (and still love) Rogue One. And for reviewers who say it’s a pointless watch “because we all how the story ends,” pro tip: the death rate for every generation is 100%. Enjoy the journey, gripe less.
