It’s a hot mess. Paint-by-numbers humour, sloppy writing and a way too ‘group-hug’ friendly vibe. It is utterly staggering how far off Taika and co have missed the mark with this stinker. The effects are well executed, but the overly hammy, pantomime level acting from everyone involved ruins this entirely. Very poor form from Waititi, Clement and Morris.
