I only had to watch the previews to understand why this received a 4.6 IMDb rating. We're all well accustomed by now, to all the horrible Hollywood remakes. And this nowhere near captures the original the '80s release, that we watched with our folks on HBO. Where Charlie (Drew Barrymore) was an 8yr old kid afflicted with pyrotechnica. Her folks bearing mind reading powers etc. ..portrayed effortlessly by Locklear and Russell. A stellar supporting cast that featured legends Scott and Fletcher, in roles that should have earned them 2nd or 3rd Oscar's.
