I am a huge fan of the Gamache series. Three Pines does not try to replicate each story or character but instead adds different layers and angles to the characters and storyline from Penny's books. The added thread throughout the series expertly spotlights the important issue of Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women - it is so timely and weaves so closely to the themes in the books and the character of Gamache himself. Hoping for more!
