I love Garlands other films but this was such a disappointment. No explanation of who is who or why the factions seceeded. The journalists are annoying and there is absolutely no character building or progression of anyone. I thought there would be alot of emotional moments or some characters displaying some kind of unfaultering loyalty or standing by their morals or something! But none. Just people blasting at each other with these adrenaline junky journalists by their side. It doesn't even make sense that these journalists think they can skid by with these press passes when you'd thunk with today's controlling of media and their being like 10 different factions in this movie that those press passes wouldn't get them very far. So much potential but I feel like this was such a play on Americans current political climate but with absolutely no depth or real story telling. And the music that played during some of the scenes was just weird and dumb, trying to be all artsy or ironic way too much.
