This is an outrageously funny, sad, fully engaging movie. Each character reveals a very different point of view, as well as demonstrating a conflicting persona. One could declare the profanity to be outrageous and offensive. In truth, it is an essential character of the story, in and of itself. It did not take me very long to identify the culprit, but that does not detract from the grandness of the story, as characters began to reveal themselves as partners in deciding what would ultimately happen, and why. It is worth just over 1.5 hours to be entertained in a way that makes your troubles and quirks rather small, by comparison.

My comments will be fairly brief: I was 14 years old when JFK was murdered. I followed the coverage closely, even as a young lad. By age 15, the whole situation began to stink to the high heavens. As an adult, I began reading whatever I could get my hands on - from private and public sources. Two overwhelming truths developed: 1) There is not a snowball’s chance in Hell Kennedy’s murder was performed by one person. 2) There is not a glacier’s chance in Hell the real story will never be revealed. There are too many sources - power players - that will not let it happen.

The whole notion of the straw man theory is as invalid and nonsensical as is the philosophy of the SovCit, Moor, and similar cults of different names. It is my contention, having extensive exposure and experience with cult members, they are bored - lost souls seeking ways to be the anti of prevailing rational culture. A simple example: such people are stopped by police while operating (driving) a motor vehicle. Typically, the probable cause is displaying a false/phony sign v. a State-issued license plate with current registration tag. The cultists cherry-pick an argument, with invalid claims of non-existent Federal laws and SCOTUS rulings. They claim police have no jurisdiction, and are violating the cultist’s 1st and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, all the while claiming laws don’t apply to them. As to jurisdiction, the cultists conveniently do not reference the 10th Amendment which gives States the right to create State-specific statutes (laws), so long as they do not contradict the Constitution of the U.S. Such are the people who will use the term “straw man “ this - that - the other. Some of the cultists will see the light, and mature. Others will live hopeless, hapless existences.

The film was very well done. The cast - excellent blend of younger and older. Jodie Foster, as always, stood out. Seeing William Windom was a treat. Bill Pullman played an exceptionally challenging role. R. Lee Ernst was difficult to identify in the story. There was much authenticity in costumes, landwork, architecture, vehicles, and design inside the buildings. When viewing the movie, it is very important to pay close attention, lest the viewer miss a clue. This was my first exposure to the story, and I’m quite glad to have invested two hours of my time.

The critics who panned this movie were collectively full of 💩 It is a fun, funny, action-packed, imaginative westerns/sci-fi flik. The pairing of Will Smith & Kevin was near-genius. The addition of Salma Hayak rounded out an excellent cast for this unique movie. The special effects were tres cool. One must read the great reviews of films from so-called professional critics - and avoid every one.

I would love to know how in the world Rotten Tomatoes gave this film a 40% and Metacritic gave it a 41%. Certainly, they each were looking through the eyes of non-objective souls. This film, produced by and starring Sandra Bullock, was an exquisite story of heart and mind and soul. It exposed, from a unique point of view, what happens when dysfunction overtakes lives. Further, it affirms one cannot rightly judge a book by its cover. Finally, it portrays how human intersections create overwhelming dynamics. Ms. Bullock ran away with the film, in a manner she heretofore has not. With a fine cadre of supporting actors, one could not help but become immersed - overwhelmed - from beginning to end. I heartily endorse this film, and encourage all potential viewers to go into the experience without predetermined notions. In fact, I recommend not viewing a trailer or reading a description of the film. Please disregard the so-called “experts” of Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic - they got it all wrong!
