All this show has given me is the inspiration to write something better. I dig the concept of vampirism being a prehistoric "disease" of sorts, trapped in ice caps since way back yon... This is not an example of that idea being executed well. It might have been easier to tolerate if we weren't supposed to believe the main character was an intelligent, educated man. I'm many of us could overlook the poor science if the initial opening moments weren't spent purposefully trying to seem intellectual. The first episode did not inspire further viewing, but we'll see...
