Sreekaram is a film which is dedicated to all the young farmers of India. At the beginning of the film, it seems very illogical when the hero leaves the chance of doing a software job in US and decides to do farming in his village.
But gradually he, along with some of his villagers starts cultivating different kinds of crops using the modern ways. After some days, he starts selling his vegetables directly to the people's homes in which he gets huge profit and becomes a successful person.
At the end of the movie, our hero is invited as a chief guest to his engineering college's silver jubilee celebrations. While addressing the students, the hero talks about the Y2K issue, which was responsible for the boom in the IT sector of India. The shortage of engineers during that time made the youth of our country to realize the essence of engineers, which made many young people to do engineering.
He says that the demand for anything increases if there is a shortage in that field. Similarly there will be a shortage of farmers in the future as no one aims to become a farmer after studying so hard since childhood. So this shortage increases the need of the farmers.
On a whole, it is a good movie which conveys a significant message.
