I wonder why such suburb actors would participate in such a totally ridiculous story.
A vicar, who is trying to protect a parishioner does everything wrong from the get go and ends up imprisoning his son's math tutor in his basement. When he has kept her bloodied and sitting in her own waste for several days he decides to kill her. The son ends up in the locked basement where the vicar has locked the tutor and is killing her with carbon monoxide gas from a faulty heater Although the son opens the locked door with the key and finds Janice lying there half dead, he conveniently forgets he has his cell phone and spends a half hour screaming for his father to open the door. He even bangs at it with a hammer It's a wooden paneled door. I guess they make them really well in England. Why didn't he just call his father or better yet an ambulance. And the criminal, on death row in America, who I believe was a doctor, seems to have been married to the daughter of a major British criminal wanted by the FBI. The criminal is the lynch pin to solving this case. All this is beyond unbelievable. Hitchcock would never have made such a stupid movie. They made me give it a star but it doesn't deserve one.
It did make for a good laugh however.
