This movie was abhorrent in every way! I am surprised Kevin Von Erich (the last surviving brother), allowed this garbage to ever be produced - maybe he didn't! It was a professional insult and a sacrilege to have Kerry Von Erich (an Adonis standing 6'2" at 254lbs.of pure muscle), depicted by Jeremy Allen White, a mere Muskin as compared to the real deal. At only 5'7" and 160lbs and neither handsome nor physically appropriate for the part (unless making a Bob Dylan movie), it was a disaster at best and hard to watch. To add additional insult to injury, they then cast another little-person, Zack Efron, to play Kevin Von Erich. At only 5'8" he is equally miscast to play Kevin who stands 6'2" and weighted 236lbs. The actor playing David Von Erich and standing 6'2" also short changed the real David Von Erich who towered at over 6'8". If one wants to see the "real-deal" with actual footage and the story as told by the last surviving brother, Kevin Von Erich, I highly encourage you to see "The Dark Side of the Ring - season 1 episode 4, "The Last of the Von Erich" on Spectrum TV.
