I have read the rave reviews on the series here and I’m beginning to wonder if we are watching the same show. I was initially excited for The King because of the writer and the two leads. Now, I am watching out of curiosity to see if it will get any better. I sincerely hope it does because the past 7 episodes just dragged and then dragged some more. I get the whole parallel universe backdrop but what I don’t understand is when the the two leads fell in love or at least liked each other. I find their interaction forced if not awkward. BUT! Episode 8 was the turning point for this series. Suddenly someone released the hand break and the pace became exciting! Hope it stays this way and goes on full throttle.

One movie that is worth a rewatch. It’s well acted, intelligent, and witty.

It started as interesting, but Kaley’s character is unbearable. How she has friends is unbeknownst to me. At episode 2 when her brother asks if she’s still acting like a irresponsible child, she cries, says no, then acts like one again. And with that, I am not finishing this series.

I just wanted it to end. How did this get made?

I’m at episode 10 and it’s really difficult to watch the succeeding episodes despite the positive reviews. Kim Woo Bin and his mother are carrying this show. They, and the supporting cast, are the ones making me hit the next episode button. Superb acting. Bae Suzy, however, is a flat wheel. She comes off as abrasive instead of sympathetic despite her pitiful back story, adorable dad, and loyal brother. 10 more episodes to go. Wish me luck.
