In my opinion, It was a seemingly good tv series portraying the life of a family unit. They had enough drama built into the storyline without trying to entwine every single current event into the series which pretty much ruins it. People are all too aware of current events happening in the world today, we watch TV for a bit of an escape from that. give us a break.
