Yu Lian Khoo

The first half of the movie there were parts which were a bit slow. But it was done in a way that you can't help but connect with the 2 main characters and feel so sorry for them and people like them. If only they had ICs they wouldnt have acted the way they did or made choices that would seem illogical to other people. Yes i cried at that famous scene where Abang talks to the monk in prison. Making the character deaf and mute and having to communicate with his hands chained added more to the pain and injustice of it all. I just hope those in power make changes to the process to help stateless people. Can't there be transparent dialogue about why it's so hard to let them have citizenship?
