His greedy gaze amplified by ruined spectacles, his drooping back burdened with lust for 'Haveli' along with his petty thievery charms you into his world where everything is withering away but not his obsession with the Haveli.
Ayushman lisps through the character of an unrelenting tenant matching Mirza's every crookery. The cast ensemble fits in the milieu.
Characters win over story. Most action remains sublime except a staggered climax.
The plot gets entangled with archeology, civil litigation and land grabbing and screenplay slows down.Still,Sircar doesn't disappoints.
