Great great movie unbelievable quality of animation, the characters and storyline were also very heartfelt and compelling. The soundtrack also deserves to be praised. And here I thought they didn't make anime like this anymore. The character artwork and atmosphere reminded me of the acclaimed emanon manga series.

I was crying like I wanted to ugly cry near the end. It's full of emotions and the little touches to everything that's expected of the great studio. This surely is another step forward for the animation department as well. Especially the transitions during the musicals are mind blowing.

Absolutely amazing. You just know when you watch a show that's well made, the storyline isn't the only thing good about this show. GITS benefits enormously from the 3D presentation, all that nitpicking about stiff characters while completely missing the gorgeous background settings, lighting, camerawork on action scenes that would be difficult to hand animate. The hate that this show is recieving boggles the mind... has the world has gone mad?. Most seasonal anime don't have such tight direction and script. And remember guys this is the same director from the original series. Yes the essence of GITS is still there its just in a different style than usual. If you want to watch a well made show watch it. If you only want to compare this to previous artstyle and want to blabber about how CG bad your loss.
