I almost never write a movie review but I felt this one deserved it. I heard great things about GM1 before seeing it and honestly, it lived up to the hype. Japan nailed it. The characters were compelling, great acting, and the story was surprisingly poignant but also inspirational. And I loved the old school interpretation of Godzilla. It was like seeing the original Godzilla from 1954 rendered with modern CGI. I LOVED IT. The sound effects were wild as well. This is one of those rare movies that I actually paid money to see in the theatre and it was totally worth it. Go see this movie. It's an instant modern day classic.
