Piers Morgan's behaviour has always been somewhat brash, and opinionated. For many years, I have disliked his opinions -- too often attacking the less powerful. However, when he takes the Government to task over their handling of the COVID-19 crisis, I am very glad that he does what he does. His is a rare voice of relative sanity, when most of the rmainstream broadcasters seem to feel that they must be polite, and avoid criticism of Government to avoid being seen as "traitors" in a "war with the virus". Failure to hold Government to account has led to the UK having (currently) the worst mortality from COVID-19 in the developed world, so resulting in the avoidable death of at least 20,000 people. This is shocking, and fully justifies Piers Morgan's approach.
