This is the most beautiful love story I've ever seen. The plot, dialogue, characterization, music, and acting are superb.Other Netflix series have relentlessly posed the question, What is love? "Crash Landing on You" powerfully portrays the answer: Love is self-denying, sacrificial service of the other. Capt Ri is the most Christlike male character I've seen, except perhaps Jeanvaljean in Les Miserables. Seri starts out cold, hard, and utterly self-centered, but under the influence of Ri's love she becomes like him. There a really nasty "bad guys" and some admirable "good guys," as well as two sets of comic characters, one group of men and another of women, who provide light relief but also help to carry the story. Two supporting characters begin by being almost totally unlikable but end up showing us, again, the nature of true love. If I had to give the series a sub-title, it would be, "The transforming power of love." The whole series is a superior and very beautiful work of art.
