Loved most of the movie -- it was a treat to listen to a variety of enthusiastic scientists from around the world, each doing their bit to help us understand the puzzle. The cinematography was spectacular -- especially all the aerial shots of craters The segment on Antarctic was out of this world. Loved the dual narration of Clive as a host and Herzog, unfilmed (one moment excepted). Herzog's voice is clip and dramatic and moves the story along. Also nice to have as part of the script was the meaning that the cultures added to meteors and events. The question of whether life could have been brought to earth in meteors is a fascinating one.
It felt elitist and childish to spend time filming a dilapidated beach town which seemed not to be relevant to the subject of meteors -- did I miss something? -- naming it "Godforsaken" and its characterizing its name as unpronounceable when the authors did just fine with a variety of other multi-syllabic non-English names.
