Hardly do I post reviews but I couldn't resist for this movie. Watched in prime. Intelligently woven hidden agenda movie. Generalisation that traditional Hindu homes treat women the way as portrayed in the film.
Not sure how many orthodox hindu homes has the director seen. Neither do women belong in the kitchen nor do men have poor table manners or a carefree attitude about drainage leaks in most homes, if not all. Orthodox homes infact are careful to wash plates they eat in themselves & do not leave waste in the eating place.
The film suggests men of hindu homes are outwardly nice but ill mannered, marry for convenience for getting their daily chores done, see women as mere objects & think they are naive plus have no love or respect for them. They also do not allow women to pursue their dreams..the husband & wife hardly have private time to discuss issues or the wife is v timid..The plot is built this way & gradually the issue of menses, Sabarimala is subtly brought in. what is the connection here ?? An exaggerated plot to push the director's view on Sabarimala since there are no merits otherwise to his pov ?... while the message the movie tries to convey is good, the masked propoganda is in bad taste..
My most wasted 2 hrs seeing one man's twisted perspective about things he knows nothing about..
