The sophisticated level of writing, storytelling, and layout of plots and actions make Towles one of my favorite authors ever. I'm still weaving together the earlier short stories, determining how the characters in each story fit into the overall "umbrella." However, with more than half the book devoted to Eve's story and the continuation of Rules of Engagement novel, I fell in love with the characters all over again. Bravo. Well done.

This movie allows the viewer to affirm the statement that “…people are not able to be uncaring.” Wow—Brendan Fraser deserves an Oscar for this performance.
