Basically, it was wealth porn at its finest where the actual location was the star of the show. I only have two things to discuss which seemed really weird: firstly, Merit’s supposed ‘virginal’ past where she never slept with anyone but Tag, which I highly doubt, but which was a plot device to make her seem less like the gold-digging homewrecker that she actually was, Oh, and how do you get accidentally pregnant? The second thing that irked me was this Shooter dude, who was the worst actor and not the least bit sexy, i mean come on, they had to put in the very very obvious scene where Zoo-girl accidentally walks into the outdoor beach shower while he’s naked (which they do in every movie) and this is supposed to somehow stir up all her hormones that she’s been denying her fiancé? This is supposedly the catalyst for her to leap into his arms. Bollocks. If I were that actor, I would have a big red flag that I am basically the token Asian coloured person in the script other than the black police officer. And the fiancé was so insipid and spineless that if it was any other rich dude, zoo-girl would be out on her skanky ass in about four minutes after being discovered in the arms of token Indian actor. I fully expected at the end scene that the housekeeper and Tag ended up entwined after getting so high neither of them know or remember their place in the hierarchy of that house. My bet is that she’s the secret mother of Willy. And the whole brother thing was such a useless red herring and totally overacted by both of them in the police station that I didn’t know whether it was a joke or were they really trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the detectives and actually he was a hitman?

I thought it was a mini-series! But no, what could have been a real thriller ended up being slapped together with no believable characters or storyline and I thought “THAT’S the ending?” Bill Nighy spoke so slowly like he had dementia and there is no WAY they would have been attracted to each other. When he says “I would die if you thanked me” it was so pathetic, the desperate yearnings of a dirty old man. Poo poo on this movie.

The Episode “We’re pregnant” really could have been reduced drastically, very silly in some places. It did not advance the plot, too many boring monologues about life, family yada yada. Good plot twists otherwise and pretty interesting how the girls got out of their scapes. Male characters, for once, came off very poorly
