Cathy Broom

A feel good story about a former high school football stars who gets in trouble after the end of his short college football career. After serving 12 years in prison he returns home to live with his only relative, his grandma. The story develops between the former football star and a little boy who lives next door whose mother is an addict who disappears for weeks leaving her child to the care of the grandma next door. The movie has a slow start but develops into an interesting portrayal of a macho young man who learns to care for a young boy who knows he is a boy yet prefers to play with girls and dolls. The relationship develops between the two characters who need love and acceptance. Both characters are well portrayed.
