Incredible. Well worth the watch, very touching, emotional, and well handled. Much better than the book in my opinion, taking out the large amounts of smut really cut to the heart of the narrative: the severing of the cycle of abuse.
Blake Lively as Lilly Bloom is absolutely outstanding, an excellent performance. She oozes charm, she smart and confident, but the film shows you how even the most capable individual can still end up in an abusive relationship.
It also explores how the abuser isn't a one sided villian, but a complex person in their own right and has a reason for their behaviour, although that is not an excuse.
I absolutely recommend it, worth the watch.
I only don't give it 5 starts because in some parts it is a little rushed, although that its unfortunate often par for the course for book adaptations.
