This book opened my eyes to a new perspective on life and made me cry my heart out. Despite the title, I hoped everything would end up just fine for whatever reason.
And it was fine, in a way—death is inevitable after all.
It was a heart-wrenching reminder that not everything has a happy ending. I loved how the personalities switched between each person. And that’s all credit to the author and his immaculate talent.
I still can’t comprehend how all those pages covered just one day—a day whose value is much greater than every other day for Matty and Roof.
I hope they’re wrong about libraries and books disappearing though. It may happen one day, but let’s try to keep them alive for as long as we can. :)
Well I’ve had my time shedding an abnormal amount of tears and receiving odd glances, and now it’s time to move on. By that, I mean starting the prequel and reliving the experience all over again.
Anyone considering reading this book, please do. It’s worth every second that passes, every breath you intake, every ounce of energy spent flipping the pages, every moment of lost sleep, and most importantly every piece your heart *will* shatter into.
But preferences do exist after all,
So do as you may :)
Thank you for this, author.
Much love,
B.
