I have been teaching piano, from beginning to advanced, for 50 years. I find the Fletcher piano course books to be the best books for children. Unlike many other beginning books, the songs are lovely, the pictures are charming, and there are no gimmicks. The many children I have taught enjoy learning from this book, which step by step introduces various aspects of piano playing that are well-explained and implemented by short pieces that have a real content and possibility for expression using imagination.
