This film is so far from the original, & much more interesting story, that it should be called something else. The whole theme is about a black USA under aged soldier, who is racially abused, but the top general in England from America in this 1944 era was apparently a black man?! Many ideas portrayed are somewhat debatable & any young people watching this will be learning incorrect history.

Drawn out drama. Unnecessarily changed storyline, the original was so much more atmospheric/enthralling. Call it something else if it’s a different story
