I didn't find a journey to find herself in this book. There are many women who get divorced and are in financial ruin along with the pain of the divorce. Coquette is familiar with Paris from earlier experiences. It doesn't appear that she lost much. If the divorce was painful - it wasn't discussed in the book. Basically, she writes about how she spent her money to help her with her "lost". It is an easy read if you are looking for a " vacation" book.
