Fans have raved about this game since it's release. Some have loved it, while others not so much.
In my opinion, you have to be one stubborn bull to dislike this game. What makes this game so different is the fluidty in the web swinging. I'm sure most have read the avalanche of praise it's gotten but with that aside, it's a solid game.
The story is definitely not different or unique compared to other Marvel and Spidey, but it does include some VERY fun additions and small twists throughout that just splash a little freshness into the mix. It could have been a little longer, however it isn't incredibly short either.
Apart from the web slinging, the gameplay is pretty solid. Nothing we haven't seen and the upgrading system could use more depth, I would say it has a good setup, just needs some additions and variety.
I did enjoy the suits and gadgets, but still felt a little short or like something was missing. The fighting mechanics were average, nothing new there. I did like the button sequences throughout the cutscenes but it got repetitive fast.
Also, it could just be me but the MJ missions were very annoying and tedious. While not difficult and not very long, it completely sidelined my momentum. One thing is a stealth mission, another is crawling around unable to anything at all.
With that said, still a solid entry and a fantastic game for all ages. You can be 13 or 53, you will enjoy this game and will not regret investing the time into completing this beautifully crafted work of art.
