King at his worst. I so much enjoyed his previous works especially the not-so-popular ones like Insomnia and Revival that I was really looking forward to this especially since it's a Mr Mercedes spin- off. The plot was flaky, the writing was average to bad, the main character was transformed from a special, intelligent woman to a pro-covid vaccine mouthpiece, a fanatic spokesman for Mr King's views on covid science I guess. I dunno, I felt that the whole story was a continuous propaganda shoved down our throats. It took away a lot from the story and character development. It was just too much, whether I agree to the message or not. I had a hard time finishing it and it was the first King book I got rid of immediately. What a disappointment.
