Remy Darling

Two friends from high school end up living together in a highrise apartment while fighting off a new disease that causes people to bite one another. This includes an amazing soundtrack, fantastic tension between characters, and builds fantastic storylines of people coming together and coming apart in a post-COVID world. The whole cast was amazing, but seeing Park Hyung-Sik in a serious role and as a true lead really knocked me off my feet. Han Hyo-joo was amazing and I loved her as well. This was the first show I've seen her in, whereas I've seen Park Hyung-Sik in so many things. The soundtrack was ASTOUNDING, and the way other characters worked together and built up interwoven stories was amazing. I truly loved this show and it was tragic, hilarious, and so well-paced. I was hooked from the first episode and hope to see more amazing shows like this.

I -definitely- chose the WRONG series to start my Thailand BL experience with. There's no WAY anything can live up to this. I just don't see it happening. Everything I've been trying to step into since seems slow-paced and boring after Kinnporsche. lol I really kind of wish I'd kind of started elsewhere because nothing else lives up to it now. The chemistry between the two is fabulous. The actors are hilarious, adorable, and HILARIOUS. I have no idea how the heck to move on from the story lines and the actual love between the characters.

I am genuinely surprised this is rated so highly. I really had to grind through this at points. I enjoyed some of it, but definitely not all of it. It felt like a unique storyline and a very 'Buffy-like' series. They could've definitely done better by shortening some of those long-cut scenes. Each episode could've easily been 45-50 minutes if they just cut down on that from happening in EVERY episode. No one needs thirty full seconds of outright sobbing to get the point that someone is sad. No one needs to stare at someone for a full ten seconds to get the point that they are surprised. I get that it's supposed to be for dramatic effect, but dang. That was grueling and extremely annoying at points. I could skip past those thankfully then continue on with the story. The only thing that saved it for me was Kim Beom.

I love it. Everything seems organically brought together when it comes to relationships, and nothing feels forced like quite a few others. Everyone falls into place, and everything happens nicely. I love the combination between the future and the past, thanks to our lead, Soo Hae. There are countless rules and specific customs to follow that a person from the future would not know or understand. It is all a learning experience for Soo Hae, and one for the viewer as well (when you are not skilled in Korean/Dynasty history), which makes it such a beautiful learning experience. There are many things that, whereas they took creative license, some things have be very eye-opening for me. I've made sure, in the process, to study some things that were unfamiliar to me. And it is all a beautiful thing. I am 100% a fan and will stay so!

I would've given it five stars, but I would have to skip ahead ten-thirty seconds at times to get through the prolonged, staring into the distance as actors pretended to think. It was a little exhausting by the end. I loved it aside from that, though. Even with some over-the-top scenes that reminded me of a Big Brother episode.

Adored this show. The lead actor is such a inhuman baddie who's heart comes to fruition and human emotions come to exist due to his love of a human woman. God is a child, and he is nothing but a butterfly in her garden. It's a wonderful show, powerful, romantic, and such a unique story line. I was blown away. Will definitely be looking into new shows where the actors are present.
