What an amazing movie. Lead actors have literally lived as Major Mukund Varadarajan and Indhu. Supporting characters have done really well. Music is superb. Kudos to director creating such masterpiece and also for inspiring latest generation of youngsters towards Army. unity in diversity.

I watched the Thursday night show, and it's a decent, watchable movie if you go in with no expectations. Thalaivar is at his brilliant best, as usual, while giving space for the other stars to shine in their roles. The film delivers several meaningful messages, particularly highlighting the pressure students face from coaching institutes and their exploitative methods of making money. A key theme of the movie is the need for the police to reflect on their role as protectors, rather than acting as hunters.

Film is watchable in parts. Unnecessary money has been spent lavishly showing extravagance in many of the scenes. The train scene was planned to be done at James Bond Movie level but it ends up as an average and not very convincing. The comical satire involving Sneha suspecting Vijay of infidelity falls flat and slows the pace. The first song is the worst of all Vijay songs so far. If the focus of the movie should have been to ensure to cover all technical loopholes and not extravaganza and reduce the plot to 2.5 hours it may have become an Hit. The stadium climax was unnecessary. Losing his Son also has a major technical loophole. How on earth a SATS person after being chased by gang would assume that his Son is safe in some corner of a Hospital??? Not convincing. Vijay’s and Sneha acting is good. Vijay is the only saving grace and VP has screwed up. His brother could have been avoided. Yogi Babu, Prashant, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram all did well. Mohan as a Villian doesn’t suit well

I went with no expectations from the movie but to be honest, it kept us entertained and 2nd half was more engaging.
