From what I can tell, most of the positive reviews here are from people who were previously fans of the books. The majority of the acting is terrible and the dialogue and storytelling is VERY cliched. Maybe it’s an accurate adaptation, and maybe the books are actually good. I wouldn’t know. In my opinion it takes more than literary accuracy to make a decent show. It’s entertaining trash, but it’s still trash.
