Much as I loved the original films, I always felt they were a bit fast. If you are a lover of the books then one great thing about books is that things unfold slowly. And so the pacing of this series is exactly what I wished for. The visuals really do transport you to another world and the acting is engaging. That's all that can be said at the end of 2 episodes. As a Tolkien and a Peter Jackson fan, I was waiting for this show and it looks promising.
