I've just finished reading the book. I feel that From Corsets to Communism gives justice to the times of Zofia Nałkowska and the view of the pre-war period of Polish history is quite panoramic. A must for those who are interested in the literary background of the XX century in Poland and Eastern Europe. Academics could also benefit from this reading material as Jenny's approach is broad and well researched -- she considers Polish-Jewish relations as well, and other crucial issues. Highly recommended!
