A film that shows the harshness of Afghanistan alongside humanity of a mothers love, a fathers pride and guilt and the duplicity of the tribal system. The boy in the title role is very good considering his age and both the physical demands of acting disabled and delivering his lines as a true professional. An excellent film....could have done with some editing to make it shorter IF IT WERE TO BE RELEASED TO A WESTERN AUDIENCE.
