From the first trailer I was excited. Of course, what sort of feminist book worm wouldn't be seeing another period drama with headstrong women stomping all over outdated gender and class norms... Now, to the absolute horror of after the first three episode viewing. Let's hope that anyone who is going to watch this was too busy reading romance novels instead of listening in history lessons as the time line inaccuracies are just astounding. It's like no one reviewing the script had Google at hand. The lack of understanding of the British social classes is ironic considering how often they mention "she doesn't even know what a Lord is". This is the sort of "period" drama that gives me serious abdominal cramps. Let's see if there's still any saving of this alternative timeline drama. Rest in peace Edith Wharton.
