The Scarlet and the Black was a wonderful, based on truth, movie. God had His protective hand on Monsignor Hugh O'Flaharty all of the time...and the ending when the American soldiers came into Rome was truly great. This is the second time I've watched the movie and each time I love it all over again. Great actors: Gregory Peck and Christopher Plummer.
