Not since Fool Me Once have I felt anything was so convoluted, but ultimately empty. Nicole Kidman is dreadful in it, and she used to be such a fantastic actor. I also hated Eve Hewson's performance. Given that she's also a very fine actress, it must be the source material at fault. Our own Jack Reynor was the best thing about it

As a fan of lots of 70s schlock, I am not impartial. The Devils is high camp ridiculousness, and almost as good as Witchfinder General! But it is just on the right side of schlocky and genuinely actually really good. Well worth a look
