I was so looking forward to this movie, and 3/4 of the way through. I was still wondering what it was really about. I know about Padre Pio and what I’ve read and heard over the decades but most of this movie was basically a political movie that had a side story about a priest who struggled with his sinfulness. This was more of a artsy movie that was politically motivated. Could have been so much better. I hope somebody does a padre Pio movie, one day that does the man and his faith in Jesus Christ much more honor and justice.
