This was worse than a Harlequin romance. It didn't even have a typical romance.
I felt like the purpose of this book was to show how illogical and naive a top rated university professor could be. That's it.
Maybe Grisham has a bias against professors who snatched up his significant other. It was just really bad character development and a Luke warm plot.
Skip this one.

I think this movie missed the mark. It wasn't inspiring, it was just about a not very nice, end of possibilities obese guy. I just felt flat after watching it, despite the attempts at personal realization and redemption.
