A far cry from Kenneth B’s earlier films based on the Agatha Christie “franchise”. Cinematography and direction are truly a class apart. One of those movies where my focus was just on the plot and not one of those forced Hercule Poirot impressions that have come to be associated with this franchise. The film tries to portray a more “humanized” form of the dapper Belgian detective and in my opinion, thoroughly succeeds!
