The 50’s and 60”s weren’t WOKE, and that’s the point. It’s a great interpretation of how someone so naive, pretty, and eager starting out could end up so disillusioned and in a downward spiral. This movie is also based off book so it doesn’t deviate tremendously but definitely captures the events of her life and her essence. Ana’s emotions seemed real and how any normal person might react when put in certain situations. Given the struggles she faced, this narrative is a decent possibly of how and why it ultimately ended in her demise. I enjoyed the slower pace to allow for the audience to resonate with her- just like Marylin’s voice drawn out and airy! No one will ever be able to replicate Marylin -Ana smashed it and looks just like her!!! Props on all fronts!
