Some of the scenarios depicted make you hope that the show is scripted. The contestants commit criminally illegal behavior including attempting to start a forest fire and stealing sleeping bags in below freezing weather. If this were not done without preparation and communication, then it would be criminal negligence on the part of the crew. This is not a survival show. It’s a race to the bottom. The most annoying and vicious characters force out those who wish to win in a survival way, and politicking beats out skill and knowledge. The show makes me angry.
