Wow. Some amazing voices in here, and some wonderful choreography, but unbelievably bad choices in execution. Having seen the original production on stage, my opinion is that it was a poor take on the story, characters, and dialog but they all paled next to the awful visuals. The frequent close ups were distracting and the shakiness of the camera in places seemed like this was shot by a bad film student with an ipod.
