I once promoted a celebration of Jimmy's George Martin produced LP, "El Mirage" in 1977. Enjoyed hearing The Highwayman and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. What a great guy Jimmy is. I showed him my massive LP collection of the artists that recorded his songs. We both chose our favorite Jimmy Webb solo albums and his was, "Letters", guesting Joni Mitchell, his favorite songwriter. I chose "Words and Music". The album is very diverse and a masterpiece! As David Leaf once called Brian Wilson a 'soul artist'.... I, too would say that Jimmy Webb is a true 'soul artist'. The album, "Jimmy L.Webb-Words and Music" proves it!
