Very good drama. Im hooked. However, I find Baranski's acting a little jarring. It feels like stage acting. Or self conscious acting. The other characters seem to live their parts...more smoothly believable to me. Also, my memory of her in so many comic roles, which she was so good in, is interfering with my enjoyment of her in this more serious role. But I hope they keep her and just get her to stop "acting."

I listened to the audiobook read by Albom. I don't know if it was me or Mitch, but I found the structure of his story very confusing and annoying. I also found it depressing. I am a spiritual seeker and a psychic who has had many conversations with people who have crossed over. What Mitch paints is not at all what I have been shown happening upon arrival in the after life. Normally people feel very good over there. Then after a longtime, they might, with much psychospiritual support view the consequences of their negative choices and actions. . But there are other ways to accomplish understanding than to experience for yourself the pain you deliberately or ignorantly gave to others. Heaven is a very WISE and loving place that does not require guilt for growth. PS I also found Alboms broad NY/NJ accent distracting.
