Outer Wilds is probably my game of the year for 2019 as it reinvigorated my love of games. It's an exploration, discovery based game where you try to unravel the mysteries of an alien race that has left its mark all across your start system. You travel from planet to planet, each discovery slowly synthesizing the narrative. To say anything else would spoil the story. The mechanics are relatively easy. Jumping, grabbing, reading. There are minor platforming elements, but the game largely challenges you to put together the pieces of the mystery of the Nomai. I consider this game a must play!
